Abendrot

Cities burn. The infected devour every sign of life they find. Survivors carve out small places they can call home but no one knows how long those safe havens will last. Each day pushes you to ask the same questions. How far are you willing to survive? How do you find peace in a world hellbent on destruction? Who can you trust?

Abendrot is a 54-page journaling game in which you play a person struggling to survive the zombie apocalypse. Each entry into your journal has you manage your character's needs as they make tough choices that often throw them into life-or-death situations.  

What you need to play: 

• A copy of Abendrot
• A set of tarot cards (or you could use a generator.)
• Your preferred way to journal

Abendrot is incredibly customizable, allowing for you to to complete a game in a few entries or hundreds, if you so desire. The game will walk you through each step you need for world-building, meaning you can play using whatever type of zombie-apocalypse you most prefer. 

Abendrot comes with:

• A simple system for managing your character's needs.
• Optional premade characters, locations, and even apocalypses to play in.
• Additional tips and rules for playing an epistolary version of the game.
• Tons of human-made art to help inspire experiences a survivor might have.
